Invitation For Expression Of Interest (Eoi) For Demand Assessment.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), a premier National Oil Company having “Maharatna” status under Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India, and as an operator of the Jharia CBM block and Bokaro CBM block, invites EOI in the format (Annexure-1) attached herewith from interested Natural gas customers for demand assessment of natural gas available on fall back basis as per indicative details in the table below:

Commissioning of JHBDPL including connectivity with CBM Block will be the conditions precedent (the “Conditions Precedent”) for evacuation of gas. The gas off take by the buyer shall not become effective unless and until the Conditions Precedent have been satisfied or waived.

Please note that this EOI is not an invitation for bids for allocation of CBM gas. The details requested here are for demand assessment, lead time, etc from prospective customers. Submitting EOI and providing details will not give any prescriptive right to the participant for the allocation of gas. Any allocation/award of CBM gas shall be done through e-tendering only as notified by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOP&NG) vide notification No. O-19018/7/2016/ONG-I dated 11.04.2017 or any other guideline issued by MoPNG in this regard.

The gas will be available as per the PNGRB quality specifications and on “fall-back” basis, ex- producing installation. It is to indicate that GAIL will provide the tie-in connectivity for the CBM blocks with their Urja Ganga Pipeline (Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra Pipeline (JHBDPL)). However, the customer shall make required transportation arrangements (GTA with pipeline operator, in case of pipeline transportation) to evacuate gas from custody transfer point to their respective plants/units at their own costs and risks.
