Invitation for Expression of Interest for Pilot Study for 3D Seismic Data Processing of 50 Sqm (Full Fold) in Kavitam area, KG Onland, KG-PG Basin at no cost to ONGC

  1. ONGC plans to invite a limited tender for onland 3D seismic data processing upto PSTM of approx. 504 SKM (Full Fold)/ 1200 SKM (Surface area) in Kavitam area of KG Onland, KG-PG Basin.
  2. The objective of 3D seismic data processing is to provide geologically conformable Pre-stack Time Migration (PSTM) data volume for delineation of reservoirs/ prospects, structural, strati-structural and stratigraphic traps. In addition, one of the main objective is to image wedge-outs, fan bodies, channel complex, mounds, pinch-outs, small scale faults, reflector unconformities and mapping of thin sand reservoirs.
  3. Prior to invitation of the limited tender, ONGC plans for Pilot study for Data Processing Quality benchmarking upto PSTM at no cost to ONGC of approx. 50 SKM (Full Fold) / 300 SKM(Surface Area) of 3D seismic data by multiple vendors having their Processing centres in India and having requisite Data Processing experience with demonstrated performance.

Scope Of Work

ONGC will evaluate vendors by Pilot study for Quality benchmarking of the data processing outputs of 50 SKM (Full Fold) out of the envisaged volume of work. The Vendors should execute the Pilot study for Data Processing work through their own resources with professional competence and with best in-class standards of work, as customarily provided by reputed Geophysical Contractors to major Global Oil Companies, having their processing center in India at no cost to ONGC.

The vendor shall carry out routine and special processing of the 3D dataset provided under this bench marking study from basic processing to PSTM with 2 ms sampling interval of 8 s record length in the grid of 20m x 20m using state-of-art seismic data processing infrastructure with latest industry standard advanced processing software/modules.

Based on evaluation of the quality of the processed data by Internal QC/QA team of ONGC, Subsequently, a limited tender is planned to be invited from short listed seismic data processing contractors /vendors.

The time duration for completion of the Pilot study for Data Processing upto Pre-stack Time Migration (PSTM) processing and submission of deliverables is 45 days from date of receiving of input raw data from ONGC.

Pilot Study Deliverables

The deliverables required after the completion of Pilot study are raw field data as received from ONGC, PSTM Final Stack in SEG-Y, Final RMS velocities in ASCII & SEGY format, Final PSTM gathers in SEG-Y format and Final detailed Processing Report in PDF format.

Submission Of EoI Response

Interested 3D Seismic data processing vendors who can fulfill all of the specifications listed above shall submit their CONSENT alongwith requisite documents regarding experience and location of their processing centres within India to be mailed with the subject “Expression of Interest for Pilot Study for Data Processing work at no cost to ONGC” by email to hgs_che@ongc.co.in on or before 3rd August, 2021 Note: Any clarification on submitting EOI may be communicated to the above given mail id.
