Expression of Interest" for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a State-of-the-art Bulk Handling Plant at ONGC Nhava Supply Base.

Introduction: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) a premier national company engaged in exploration and production of oil and gas, operates an offshore Supply Base at Nhava, near JNPT Tal. Panvel Dist. Raigad for supply of materials required for its offshore activities.

Nhava Supply Base is an ISO-9000, ISO-14000 and ISO-45001 certified custom notified marine port spread over 60.47 hectares of area, which includes green belt area of approx.

24 hectares. This base was established in 1983-84. This base is well connected with roads and well equipped with communication facilities for monitoring of operations. Nhava Supply Base is the only captive port of ONGC, which caters to the operational requirements by carrying out supply chain management handling bulks and cargos.

Bulk Handling Plant (BHP): The Bulk Handling Plant (BHP) of Nhava Supply Base primarily focuses on supply of cement and barite, located alongside Jetty No.1, which caters to supply of Oil Well Cement, Blended Cement and Barite to Western Offshore area of ONGC. The Bulk handling plant of the Corporation consists of silos, cutting/ loading pods, electric starters, electric motors, screw conveyers, compressors, air driers, cooling towers and other accessories necessary for the working of the plant. The infrastructure/ equipment is as provided at Table - 1. The plant is operative for 24 hours every day in three shifts of 8 hours duration each. Conversion of sacked material into loose bulk and loading in silos is to be done in all the three shifts. Off-loading from silos into supply vessels also shall be done in all three shifts.
