Notice inviting Expression of Interest (EoI)

EoI Ref. No.: ONGC/AA/EOI/SAND-CONTROL/2025-26/01

Hiring of Services for implementation of Microbial (Biochemical) Sand Consolidation Technology in three (3) candidate Wells of Assam Asset.

Introduction

Assam Asset, ONGC, Nazira, invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputed, experienced, and technically competent service providers for the implementation of Microbial Sand Consolidation Technology in three (3) candidate wells across fields of Assam Asset.

Objective

Sand production in hydrocarbon wells can cause severe operational challenges, including equipment erosion, wellbore instability, and production losses. ONGC is exploring biotechnological approaches such as Microbial Sand Consolidation that offer eco-friendly and potentially cost-effective alternatives to conventional sand control methods.

The objective of this EOI is to identify and shortlist potential service providers capable of providing innovative, field-proven microbial sand consolidation solutions that improve well integrity and mitigate sand production without compromising formation permeability.

Following the EOI outcome, Microbial Sand consolidation technology shall be implemented in three (3) candidate wells across fields of Assam Asset.

This project will serve as both a technical and economic evaluation to assess the viability of scaling the technology to additional wells in the asset.

Scope of Work for Service Provider

The scope includes but is not limited to:

  • Conduct site assessment, pre-feasibility study and candidate well evaluation.
  • Detailed project planning and technology customization specific to well conditions
  • Supply all required raw materials, including microbes, nutrients, chemicals, and other consumables.
  • Prepare the customized microbial solution based on well-specific samples.
  • Deploy trained manpower for on-site job execution, supervision, and monitoring.
  • Carry out any field tests and lab analysis necessary during the job at site.
  • On-site implementation of Microbial Sand Consolidation treatment
  • Monitoring and evaluation of treatment efficacy (pre- and post-job analysis).
  • Provide overall technical support and reporting during implementation.
  • Data acquisition and submission of technical reports
  • Ensure Strict HSE compliance during all operation
