September 1, 2026: Engineers India Limited has joined a major new initiative aimed at giving deep-tech startups a stronger foothold in India’s energy sector.
The programme, called MC²+ Ignite, was formally launched at IIT Madras. It is designed to support startups working on advanced technologies for oil, gas and the broader energy transition.
Shri Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and Chairman of the MC2 Foundation, was present at the launch. Shri Atul Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director of EIL, also attended the event along with other leaders from the energy and innovation ecosystem.
